TOI-1842 b is a large 3-meter wide paper print. It is one part of the research I am doing at ICST. One can read a bit more here and here. This is to some extend in the branch of previous pieces like d [score] or kaspar.
The piece consists of a series of visual nested rhythms. The overall topological architecture can be visually appealing with its classical symmetric structure. Its many components moreover can be deciphered at a smaller scale by following curvatures and spatial repetitions. The material transparency and transverse light are also of importance.
The real object is in fact an empty resonator that can be excited from within using my unrealistic room acoustics library in Rhino. There will in the future be sound pieces related to such structures. I would like to thank the entire team working on pyroomacoustics.
