Ariane Thalheim
Dancer, Choreographer
Born 1982, she received her dance training at the Palucca Schule Dresden—Hochschule für Tanz and at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie. Her first choreography in 2000 was performed in Dresden and Prague. For three years she has been active as a freelance dancer in Dresden. The TENZA®-Schmiede is her permanent residence and production space there. She has worked in productions by Anne Retzlaff such as Küstennebel and most. Under Nora Schott’s choreography she danced in PINK, the game, and 6 and in Katrin Wolfram’s choreography Die Anderen. As a member of shot AG she participated in Ruck and devised the solo Pavle. For her solo Bodenhaltung Ariane Thalheim received the audience prize of the TANZherbst festival in 2002. In November 2005 she participated in Schieß nicht auf fremde Röckchen at the Forum Neues Musiktheater.
