  Sasse Baumhof
Sound Programmer, Sound Designer

Sasse Baumhof is known as a specialist in sound programming and sound production. He looks for new technical possibilities for mirroring music and its effect, and he employs the latest computer technologies and electronic musical instruments in his composition and stage actions. He received his musical education from, among others, Dr. Helen Grube and Prof. Dr. Max-Ludwig Grube, and became familiar with technology through his studies of electronics technology with a focus on digital audio at the Universität Karlsruhe. Since 1988 he played piano in a duo with the violinist Prof. Dr. Max-Ludwig Grube and in 1992 he received the Ramdohr-Preis for outstanding musical interpretation. He has collaborated intensely with other artists in the area of the musical and song, for example, as musical director of phase7 since 1997, with whom he has presented numerous compositions and productions in Germany and abroad (strange particles 1999 ). Sasse Baumhof plays keyboard in the orchestra of the Stageholding productions Phantom der Oper and Mamma Mia! In 2004 he participated in Delusions at the Forum Neues Musiktheater.
