  Rik Elstgeest
Percussionist, Performer

Born in 1979. Studied classical percussion at the Königliches Konservatorium in Den Haag and graduated with honors in 2003. He also took acting classes while pursuing his degree. Elstgeest is lead singer for the pop band Kopna Kopna and percussionist for The Backhause (contemporary music) and the improvisational group Track. He has worked on various music theater productions with Barreland, ZT Hollandia, Toneelgroep Amsterdam (music by Stef Camil Carlens), Ramsey Nasr, Jonghollandia, und Artemis. With his own group, Touki Delphine (founded with Bo Koek and John van Oostrum), he developed the productions Kleeft de poep ookwel eens aan uw handen (February 2004, Gasthuis Amsterdam) und Paling moet die daarin (November 2004, Buda, in Courtrai, Belgium). Since 2005 he has been a member of the ensemble De VeenFabriek, participating in its first production, WEEF! (January–February 2005), as a performer and percussionist. In 2005, escamotage at the Forum Neues Musiktheater.
