  Marko Ciciliani
Composer, Musician

Born in Croatia in 1970. Ciciliani trained as a composer and music theorist in New York City, Hamburg, and Den Haag. He composes for orchestra, ensembles, and other formations and often works with live electronics. Ciciliani works as a performer and improviser and has taken part in numerous projects in the areas of theater, dance, video, and improvisation. He has received commissions for compositions from the Weltmusiktage 2005, the Biennale Zagreb 2001, and various ensembles, including ASKO, Ensemble Intégrales, the Maarten Altena Ensemble, Orkest de Volharding, QO-2, and Interzone Perceptible. His music has been performed throughout Europe and in the United States and Asia, at venues including the Bregenzer Festspiele, Gaudeamus, Wien Modern, Proms in Paradiso in Amsterdam, Ars Nova SWR, Das Neue Werk NDR, Música a Metrònom in Barcelona, Activa Berlin, and Playground Touch in Bern. In 2005, production of escamotage at the Forum Neues Musiktheater Stuttgart.
