  Emmanuel Jourdan
Composer, Musician, Live Electronic Designer

Born in Montbéliard in 1980. Studied clarinet at the Ecole Nationale de Musique in Montbéliard and at the Conservatoire National de Régional in Besançon. He has been the recipient of various awards for chamber music, clarinet, music informatics, and computer-assisted composition. In 1997 he was awarded a grant by SACEM for his piece Choral. Since 2001 Emmanuel Jourdan has worked at IRCAM-Centre Georges Pompidou in the studio of music informatics, where he helped to develop the documentation for the project Musique Lab in cooperation with the French ministry of education. He currently teaches courses in composition using real-time software such as Max/MSP/Jitter at IRCAM as a lecturer in music. In January 2005, Atelier Strette at Forum Neues Musiktheater.
