Studied piano with Aloys Kontarsky at the Musikhochschule in Köln and with Claude Helffer und Gérard Frémy in Paris as the recipient of a grant from the DAAD. He received honors and prizes at competitions including the Gaudeamusconcours in Rotterdam and the piano competition in Girona, and in 1991 he received the first prize at the contemporary piano music competition in Sitges (Barcelona). Member of ensemble recherche since 1995. 2004 Infinito nero by Salvatore Sciarrino at Forum Neues Musiktheater.
