Dramaturge

Peter C. von Salis grew up in Zurich and studied economic history, social economy, philosophy and constitutional law. In 2003 he took up studies in dramaturgy at the Hessische Theaterakademie in Frankfurt (Main) with Prof. Hans-Thies Lehmann, including a traineeship for half a year at the schauspielfrankfurt. Before his dramaturgy studies he worked as an assistant director for Simon McBurney in London and Volker Hesse in Zurich and collaborated as dramaturge in a production at the Hope&Glory festival in 2001 in Zurich. Since the end of his studies he worked with Xavier Zuber and participated in the zeitoper I (contemporary opera) carcrash at the State Opera Stuttgart. With Ismael Ivo he is working on a project with actors in training, scheduled to open in December 2006 at the Wilhelma Theatre in Stuttgart. He also collaborated with the Dancefilm Institute in Bremen. At the Forum Neues Musiktheater he assisted Hans Tutschku´s Die Süße unserer traurigen Kindheit and participated as dramaturge on the live-media and dance performance 16 (R)evolutions by Troika Ranch.
