He completed his studies with Prof. Karlheinz Zöller at the Musikhochschule in Hamburg in 1986 with the performance examination, which he passed “with honors”. Master classes with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Peter Lukas Graf, and André Jaunet. From 1984–1987 he worked intensively with Ensemble Modern. Acting solo flutist for the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra from 1987–1992. Flutist for ensemble recherche since 1991. Infinito nero by Salvatore Sciarrino at the Forum Neues Musiktheater in 2004.
