Pascal Pons studied percussion at the Conservatoire National de Région in Nice with Rodolphe Palumbo and in Versailles with Sylvio Gualda, followed by studies in solo performance at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Bernhardt Wulff. He has performed numerous premieres, among others, with the Radiosinfonieorchester Basel, the Ensemble des Instituts für Neue Musik Freiburg, the Ensemble der Musik der Jahrhunderte Stuttgart, and the Radiosinfonie Orchester Berlin. In 2006 he was a juror at the International Marimba Competition in Taiwan, where he also gave master classes and solo concerts. Since 2005 he is professor for percussion at the Conservatoire des Hautes Études Musicales in Neuchâtel, La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 2006 he participated in Schöner Götterfunken! Bilder einer Ausstellung, einer Ausstellung of the NewMediaPocketOpera project at the Forum Neues Musiktheater.
