  Alan Hilario
Composer

Alan Hilario grew up in Manila. From 1985 to 1988 he studied composition at the University of the Philippines. From 1988 to 1992 he was a violinist in the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. From 1985 to 1992 he worked with a number of film and stage directors. From 1992 to 1996 he had a scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) and studied composition at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Mathias Spahlinger and electronic music with Mesias Maiguashca. Alan Hilario composed the music theater piece Schöner Götterfunken! Bilder einer Ausstellung einer Ausstellung for the NewMediaPocketOpera project of the Forum Neues Musiktheater on the occasion of the ISCM World New Music Festival 2006.
