Sebastien Tworowski
Composer, Drummer, Live Electronic Designer
Sebastien Tworowski studied drums for 15 years in several conservatories and with the french composer Franck Smith. At the same time, he studied electro acoustic composition with Michel Pascal at the conservatory of Nice (southern France) and got a price from the S.A.C.E.M on his frist price of composition after which he followed a cycle improvement at C.I.R.M in Nice for one year. Sebastien Tworowski also was a trainee on the four levels Max-MSP courses at IRCAM and at ACANTHES in Metz. He's actually finishing his studies at the CNSMD (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon) of Lyon where he's been studying applied research in electro acoustic and computer music. For two years consecutively, he received a scholarship from the S.A.C.E.M to develop his research into computer programming. Sebastien Tworowski is a member of LIEU: a non-profit organisation for research, creation and production of contemporary technology based music creation co-founded by Carl Faia. In July 2006 he was responsible for the media informatik and programming on the NewMediaPocketOpera project at the Forum Neues Musiktheater on the composition of Alan Hilario’s Schöner Gotterfunken! Bilder einer Ausstellung, einer Ausstellung. The music theater piece was presented on the occasion of the ISCM World New Music Festival 2006.
