Michael Kiedaisch studied percussion at the Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart and was active in a variety of bands on the southern German jazz scene. His concert activity in the field of contemporary music has brought him together with the Ensemble Avance, the Percussionensemble Stuttgart, the ensembles Piano & Percussion, Gelber Klang, and Surplus, among others. As a composer and performer of incidental music he has participated in various theatrical productions in Germany and Switzerland. Kiedaisch is a lecturer at the Universität Witten-Herdecke and the Musikhochschule Stuttgart; he is founder and artistic director of the EUROJAZZ festivals in Überlingen on Lake Constance. He participated in Il cielo sulla terra at the Forum Neues Musiktheater in 2006.
